Singaporean: A, Hay, mem

Jaime: (Ngingiti) Jaime

Singaporean: How come the J is pronounced as H?

Jaime: It’s a Spanish name. We were colonised by Spain for more than 300 years (You want more of Philippine History? You can sit down and I can talk about Agoncillo’s book, or you want Zaide’s? Hehehhe)

Malaysian: Your name is Hay mem?

Jaime: Jaime

Malaysian: A, Hymen.

Jaime: (Tatawa) hahahah! It’s Jaime.

Lecturer: You are Highmay from the Philippines.

Jaime: I’m from the Philippines, and it’s Jaime.
